🌿 Forest School Open Day Update 🌿

We were so looking forward to welcoming everyone to our Forest School Open Day at Normanton-on-Soar this Friday evening, but with all the recent rain (and plenty more on the way!), the grounds are just too muddy to make it enjoyable for visitors.
While the children take the weather in their stride during their usual weekly sessions, it’s a little harder to run an open day for parents in the lashing rain — it’s tricky to truly appreciate the space when you’re soaked through! ☔
We’ve therefore made the decision to postpone the event, and we’ll share a new date very soon.
In the meantime, if you were hoping to come along, the school and headteacher are more than happy to arrange stay-and-play sessions or individual visits before the rescheduled event.
Thank you for your understanding — we can’t wait to welcome you once the sun decides to reappear!

The Trust Committee for the governance of the school have approved their own Admissions policy which will be followed for entry to school from September 2026.  Please find a copy of the policy below.

Admissions applications for Normanton-on-Soar Primary School are received through Nottinghamshire County Council’s co-ordinated scheme for first admission to school, and for in-year transfers.

The Admissions Appeals process for all Equals Trust schools engages Nottinghamshire County Council’s Independent Appeals Panel.  None of the members who sit on the panels have any connection to Equals Trust schools.  Their decision is independent and final.

The Admissions Appeals process is free to parents/carers, as the cost is paid by the school.
